When it comes to Western cuisine, the main options are usually steak or grilled dishes, pizza, and pasta. You can start by deciding which type of meal you are in the mood for today.

If you choose steak or grilled dishes,

it is best to pick ones that come with vegetables. Dietary fiber not only provides a sense of fullness but also helps regulate blood sugar, blood pressure, and cholesterol levels. Roasted and grilled options tend to be healthier choices, but be mindful of any charred parts. Make sure to remove them to minimize the intake of carcinogens.

For pasta,

try to keep your carbohydrate intake within the size of your fist while also ensuring you get a good balance of protein and vegetables for more stable blood sugar levels. Some better options include Aglio-Olio and Bolognese.

If the pasta or pizza has a low proportion of protein and vegetables, consider ordering an extra chicken or shrimp salad to share. This way, you can meet your nutritional needs without consuming excessive carbohydrates.

As for drinks, avoid sugary beverages.

Coffee and tea are both great choices since they contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Just make sure the milk used is either fresh milk or soy milk.
