3 Methods to Tenderise Meat

If you want to make chicken more tender and easier to digest, try these methods.


  1. Marinate the chicken with acidic ingredients such as lemon or fruit vinegar—not only do they help tenderize the meat, but they also add a pleasant aroma. Using pineapple for marination is another effective method.


  2. Additionally, you can opt for yogurt or buttermilk, as the lactic acid they contain also helps soften the meat.


  3. Another option is using carbonated drinks, which have chemical properties that can break down the chicken’s fibers, making it more tender. If you’re concerned about these ingredients imparting a strong flavor, simply rinse the chicken with water after marinating before cooking.
